I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to parents who immigrated from Malaysia in 1980.

Growing up, people say I was always creative. I always had a love for technology and entertainment; from video games, movies, comics and TV. I picture myself working at a cool company, working on major projects, ranging from big title video games, to large clients.

After graduating from Eastglen High School, I wanted to pursue a career in the computer technology industry, so I attended the Computer Systems Technology progam at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) in 2000.

After graduation in 2002, I worked a few contract jobs developing websites for small businesses, including Starry Constellation Magazine, an online entertainment magazine on movies, shows, games and celebrities. I eventually landed at Industry Canada's Student Connections program in 2004, where I developed websites for businesses across Edmonton.

Also in my post-NAIT era, I was a part of the University of Alberta Dance Club from September 2002 to December 2005. I had the time of my life there, not only learning ballroom dancing, but made many great friends there, and had fond memories.

Also in 2004, I heard about the Vancouver Film School. I was really blown away by their programs, that I wanted to be a part of the experience. I eventually moved to Vancouver to attend the school's Game Design program in 2006.

The program's a 1 year intensive study on video game design and development. As a result of our studies, we have a final project, where we form small groups and spend 20 weeks designing and developing our student game. We work with collaborators from VFS' Sound Design and 3D Modeling programs, as well as mentors ranging from our own instructors to experienced industry vetererns.

Now, I am finally graduated, and beginning life after VFS, where I am going where life takes me in hope to land anything related to my studies, that will lead me to my ultimate life long career goal.
